I was first introduced to Canticos books at We All Grow Familia back in October of 2017. Canticos are the first Latino nursery rhyme book collection that can be read in both English and Spanish. I was instantly hooked and so were my daughters. They have sparked interest in my daughters to learn Spanish. So much so, that we have added them to our home school curriculum.
This year my youngest daughter, Olivia, asked for a Canticos themed birthday party and I couldn’t be more excited. We created a “Pin the Crown on Sammy” game, a handmade Solecito/Lunita Piñata, hand painted cookies, as well as a party outfit inspired by Kiki the pollito. Olivia asked for a brunch gathering filled with her favorite breakfast foods including french toast, quiche, fresh fruit, and mini conchas. The party was a big hit!
Muchas gracias to Canticos World and Encantos Media Studios for sponsoring books and other goodies for the party.
